Fragile & Transition Contexts

Dialogue & Conflict Prevention
(DRC, 2016-2019)

Worked with local authorities and civil society in Ituri to prevent conflict and promote peaceful coexistence. Strengthened partnerships with Congolese stakeholders to implement community engagement initiatives and develop locally driven solutions aligned with stabilisation efforts.

Political Space & Democratic Governance
(South Sudan, 2008-2010)

Facilitated political engagement in Eastern Equatoria State to create space for dialogue between parties. Launched consultations with state government officials to secure support for sustainable and inclusive peace initiatives.

Local Governance in Transition Context
(Kosovo, 2000-2003)

Advised newly formed municipal authorities in southern Kosovo, helping with the handover of administrative functions from UN oversight to local structures. Supported the transition to multi-ethnic administration as Serbian-controlled parallel structures were gradually phased out.

Protection of Civilians
(DRC, 2016-2019)

Coordinated protection initiatives in areas affected by armed violence, ensuring planning, implementation, and oversight. Strengthened early warning mechanisms and worked with UN teams and Congolese stakeholders to enhance community-based protection.

Project Management
(Haiti, 2012-2014)

Managed a portfolio of quick-impact infrastructure and basic service delivery projects in Haiti’s Northwest department.  Leveraged logistical and engineering capacity to support local authorities and restore essential public facilities.

Extension of State Authority
(Haiti 2000-2004, 2012-2014)

Supported local authorities in rebuilding governance structures following the 2004 political and security crisis. Contributed to inter-institutional coordination, local dialogue, and capacity-building efforts to restore public services in a post-crisis recovery context.
